PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island will soon join a regional program to curb a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. Governor Carcieri announced last night that he’ll sign the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. He made the announcement during a speech before state lawmakers.
